I've heard this music during MSNBC commercials and now during the following Volkswagen Passat ad and if anyone knows the title, I'd appreciate the help.
The song is called 'Cinematic Piano' by Richard Beddow. Copies of the full song seem quite difficult to come by, though I could e-mail you an mp3 or wav of the portion that is in the commercial if you would like. http://myteamrivals.typepad.com/marlins_musings/

I'd appreciate having the tune on MP3, but how would I be able to load that onto my IPod? Can you take MP3 recordings and burn them onto a CD?

You can import any mp3 on your computer or flash drive to Itunes (in Itunes, just got to file-import and browse for the song), or you could also burn the mp3 to a cd and then just import the cd.
Did you find the whole song on that website, or just a copy of the commercial?
The website looks to be just a database, but it should be useful for other commercial songs. They have the commercial like I posted off of YouTube. There's a "Buy From Amazon" link that just leads to the Amazon homepage and personal preferences. I guess the song's not available anywhere, which is odd because there's a demand for it obviously.
