The Yankees Should Be Ashamed (If They Have Any Shame Left)

    So the team that threw multiple millions of dollars at the likes of Kyle Farnsworth, Carl Pavano and Kei Igawa decided to chop a couple of million dollars off of the "offer" they made to now former manager Joe Torre? This was a pathetic and humiliating way to go about replacing their manager. The Yankees hierarchy didn’t want Torre back and this was a face saving and chicken(bleep) way of getting rid of him. I called this over a week ago (Complete Disrespect); now the Yankees are going to turn loose their hatchet man/Machiavellian nebbish Brian Cashman to utilize his corporate doubletalk to try and save some face for this organization. A paycut as punishment for not winning the World Series? The least they could have done with Torre was fire him straight out; it would have been a far more respectful and manly thing to do. Instead, they pull something like this and are going to cover their behinds with semantics. It’s a farce and the Yankees are going to get exactly what they deserve when they find out exactly how difficult it is to deal with a roomful of prima donnas and the circling, self-aggrandizing, bloodthirsty New York City media with a new manager. They’re an embarrassment.
